A short entry: a summary of the public record, checked against its sources, not yet read and analysed by Gianluca. How the register works
On 30 March 2026, the Retail Media Alliance went live as a Germany-wide in-store network combining screens from Digooh, Emsu and Viewento (Verve Retail Media) in Edeka stores, with Inovisco Mobile Media as the central marketing partner. Existing Inovisco clients gain immediate access to the expanded inventory.
What happened
- Announced 30 March 2026, with existing Inovisco clients gaining immediate access to the expanded inventory.
- The network offers more than 5,000 displays across over 3,300 locations, with nearly 4,000 screens located in Edeka stores.
- The network reaches over 46 million gross contacts per week in the Edeka environment, which according to Inovisco represents the largest in-store inventory in German retail.
- Screens span Digooh entrance pillars, Emsu area displays and Viewento checkout screens (recently acquired by Verve Retail Media), with Acardo couponing (also part of Verve Retail Media) for point-of-sale activation and sales tracking.
- Inovisco Mobile Media, Digooh's sister company, is the central marketing partner; agencies can book via IOs and programmatically, with billing based on standardized contact metrics.
- Previous consolidation efforts by Edeka itself and the Laya Group existed; at the time of publication it was unclear how they would be affected.
