On 22 September 2026, Pyth Network was approved as an external distributor of Nasdaq Basic, Nasdaq's real-time top-of-book quote and trade product for US exchange-listed securities. The feed is delivered through the Pyth Data Marketplace, and clients must first obtain written approval from Nasdaq before consuming the data.

What happened

  • Announcement made on 22 September 2026 that Pyth Network became an approved external distributor of Nasdaq Basic.
  • Nasdaq Basic covers best bid and offer with size from the Nasdaq market center, last sale from Nasdaq's US venues and the FINRA/Nasdaq Trade Reporting Facility, and the Nasdaq Official Opening and Closing Prices.
  • Any client wishing to consume Nasdaq Basic via Pyth must first obtain written approval from Nasdaq; licensing occurs between the client and Nasdaq, with Pyth providing the technical distribution layer.
  • Follows a June 2026 agreement under which Nasdaq made its TotalView depth-of-book product available through the same Pyth Data Marketplace, which launched in April 2026 and includes datasets from Tradeweb, SGX FX, OTC Markets, Kalshi, Euronext, and the US Department of Commerce.
  • PYTH token rose more than 8 percent following the disclosure, with some intraday prints exceeding 10 percent, opening near $0.063 and reaching highs above $0.072 before settling around $0.067.
  • Pyth Network had 22 employees as of 31 August 2026, according to Tracxn.
